Bobby Wayne Query, 69 of Kannapolis, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home.

The family will receive friends at Poplar Grove Baptist Church 3476 Poplar Tent Road Concord on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 12 until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at the church at 2 pm, with Rev. Jimmy Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

At other times the family will be meeting at the home.

Bobby was born on July 19, 1943 in Durham, NC to Victor Laird and Evelyn Virginia Henry Query. He was a member of the Eureka Masonic Lodge and was a Youth Director and head usher at Poplar Grove Baptist Church. He was also an active General Aviation Pilot.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Glenda Sue Watts Query of the home; sons, Bobby Wayne Query, Jr. and his fiancé Sarah Malloy and Anthony Laird Query; step-son, Jimmy Barrett and his wife Rhonda; grandchildren, David Barrett and wife Kristin, Caleb Barrett, Malia Barrett and Tinzee Barrett; brother, Larry Dale Query.

Bobby was preceded in death by his brother Victor Query, Jr.
